Q: What is digital photography and how does is it different other photography?

A: Digital does not require film. The image is created and stored completely electronically.

Q: What is the advantage of Digital?

A: Shooting digital allows the photographer to shoot more pictures, crop more precisely and crop in a non-standard size. In many cases proofs, prints and albums can be completed quicker.

Q: Are there other advantages?

A: Yes it is much easier to add special effects, such as sepia tone, partial B&W, where just a part of the scene is color, and other artistic effects such as watercolor.

Q: What are the disadvantages?

A: Film had much more latitude with exposures. Some people consider film to have a better look than digital.

Q: Will these disadvantages affect the quality of my wedding photographs?

A: Probably not. Your photographer must be much more careful with getting the exposures correct, however he also has the advantage of seeing the results instantly. If film is any better, digital makes up for the difference because of the added control the photographer has afterward.

Q: Is digital wedding photography less expensive?

A: Yes, a comparable wedding package shot with film would cost $200-400 more than digital.

Q: Does Wedding Memories offer wedding photography shot with film?

A: No, in 2007 Wedding Memories became 100% digital

Q:  How will I see the proofs of my wedding and reception?

A:  All proofs are posted on line.  Proofs are usually posted within 7 days of your wedding.

Q: Will anyone be able to me my proofs?

A: No, your proofs will be password protected.  Only you and anyone you allow will be able to see your wedding photographs.

Q:  I live in a different part of the country from my friends and family, how will they be able to see the proofs?

A:  Your proofs will be available to anyone with internet access and the password.  Your photographer, Mark Meade will make up cards with instructions on how to see the proofs.  These cards can be handed out at the reception or placed on the guest book table, or individual tables at the reception.  Click here for more information

Q: Is there any way I can make my own copies of my photographs?

A: Yes many of our packages include a DVD of all your photographs. With some packages there will be an additional charge for the DVD. You can print these on your home printer.

Q: How long have have you been in business shooting weddings?

A: I shot my first wedding in 1986. I started shooting digital in 2004 and converted to 100% digital in 2007.

Q: How many photographers will shoot my wedding?

A: One, Mark Meade is the only photographer.

Q: Is retouching available.

A: Yes. This is one big advantage of digital photography. Retouching is much easier and less expensive with digital

Q: What type of camera do you use?

A: Canon professional SLR.

Q: How many megapixel camera do you use?

A: 12 megapixel, but more important than megapixel is the quality of the lens and flash equipment. Wedding Memories uses only professional quality lens and flash equipment.
